Apples are a way of life for the Marker family; they've tended their orchard in the Shenandoah Valley for more than 80 years. The Markers have done everything they can to survive in a shifting economic landscape, but changes outside of their control threaten their family tradition and the way of life in an area that was once one of the largest apple-growing regions in the United States.
